Hi make up enthusiasts! I need your help with replacing my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I’ve started buying cruelty free makeup when my current ones finish up. If you’ve used this mascara and love it like I do, you’ll understand what I mean when I say, I don’t know if I’ll ever love another mascara this much. It’s perfect. Lifts and curls it so well, slides off completely in the shower and it holds the curl all day. I’ve had so many friends ask if I have falsies on.
So, has anyone got any recommendations for cruelty free mascaras that perform like Lash Sensational? I’m happy to spend for it even if it’s high end.
First of all, a big thank you to r/Makeup for I have learned about the world of tubing mascara!
However, one big issue I have is my lashes are really straight (am Asian). I curl them everytime before putting mascara but even so, the lengthening ones don’t work at all. I’ve tried Clinique mascara and I ended up throwing it away. My go-to has been Shu Uemura’s Petal Lash mascara - the way it holds my curls is out of the world - but sadly they aren’t tubing mascara.
I’ve tried L’Oreal Paris Double Extend mascara. While it really doesn’t smudge, my lashes droop right away. L’Oreal Paris Voluminous X Fiber does a better job but not as good as Shu Uemura.
So my question is: are there any tubing mascaras out there that holds curls really well? Or am I searching for a unicorn?
EDIT: Omg thank you everyone for your comments! So the tubing mascaras I’ve been suggested are Thrive Causemetics, Blinc, and Boots No7.
One thing I forgot to mention though is that curved wands work best for curling (both the Shu Uemura and L’Oreal Voluminous one have curved wands)... and none of these seemed to have curved wands so I’m in a dilemma again. XD I’ll have to sleep on this but thanks everyone for the suggestions!
So I only have half of my eyebrows and I have to draw on the other half for work. I’ve used some different pomades but the issue I run into is that the drawn on part looks very fake compared to the part with hairs, it looks too light and like I took a colored marker to my forehead. I’ve been using liquid eyeliner with a small liner brush to make it look like little hairs are there but it takes so much time in my routine. Any quicker methods/ cheap products that look natural?
Does anyone have any recommendations that either look natural and have a super small wand? I have super super short lashes practically non existent. I usually don’t wear mascara because it just ends up looking like I’m wearing a super chunky and uneven black liner. This always looks so off because I am pretty low key with my eye looks. Usually just bronzer in the crease and something to highlight the brow bone.
When I wear glasses I feel like no mascara is fine but when I don’t wear glasses or do a little more with my eye look my makeup looks unfinished. Let me know if there are any you have tried and would recommend!
Just wondering if anyone can recommend some brands of eyeshadow that are suitable for extremely sensitive eyes.
Most eyeshadows cause my eyes to feel very dry and cause them water - especially in the other corner. I’ve also found some can cause my eyelids to get a bit crepey and dry.
Looking for brands available online and in Australia
I'm 24F, and have had wrinkled eyelids for as long as I can remember. My eyelids look like shutters/blinds. Whenever I try to apply eyeshadow, it looks horrible because the lines show up and are very prominent. This is the image for reference. Usually I only wear liquid eyeliner without any shadow or with some concealer. Any eyeshadow application tips would be appreciated. Thank you!
