Why does everyone call me Doug?

So, when the "Why hasn't Trump been impeached yet?" question was retired by user vote, we decided that should something actually change, we'd unretire the question.

On September 24th, proceedings were started, which seems like a good enough reason to open things up.

As with any big news story, if we don't put a throttle on it, the entire queue is consumed by this one topic, so we're directing people to this megathread.

Folks, this is a charged topic. Please pay attention to the rules. No name calling, no rants and agenda-pushing. Keep things civil and to the point.

Some random resources for people to find out more:

EDIT: 11/8/2019

Seeing a lot of "How can I watch the impeachment proceedings?" Here you go.

EDIT: Resurrecting this, since we're getting overrun with more questions about this.

BBC Story

[Hong Kong's] airport, one of the world's busiest, has been the site of daily protests since Friday. It has become the latest focus of mass political unrest in Hong Kong that began 10 weeks ago and shows no signs of abating.

The wider anti-government protests started in June in response to a proposed extradition bill, which has now been suspended, but have evolved into a more demanding pro-democracy movement. They are being fuelled by fears that the freedoms Hong Kong enjoys as a special administrative region of China are being eroded.

Ask your questions related to the Hong Kong protests here. Rule 3 is in full effect. Keep it civil, please and thank you!

There has to be a reason, doesn’t seem like it would be hard or expensive to do and would be a lot more secure than typing every piece of info in by hand.

I’m Canadian, I see a lot of overweight people where live, just north of Toronto. I was curious and I looked up the rates, over 26-27% obese and 64% overweight or obese. That’s incredibly high. Not that far behind Americans tbh. I don’t see people address that as much, not even a lot of Canadians (that I know) acknowledge it. But I here a lot of Canadians talk about how fat Americans are. That’s like someone that’s 180kg making fun of someone that’s 200kg. Y’all both are huge.

Does fresh food get given away or go to waste? Who replenished the supermarket and do they go around and date check? So many questions!
