Hello, I've got me HDHomerun Duo running and pickup up channels. I want to see if I can optimize my antenna position. Is there an app that lets me see live signal strength?

TimeWarner customer from 1998 to 2008, DirecTV from 2008 until today. Been considering cutting the cord for a few months. After lots of research here (thanks guys!!) I made the call and disconnected DirecTV today. The outdated equipment upgrade cost / new contract requirement was the last straw.

Signing up for Disney/Hulu/ESPN package and Philo today. Sorta of scary, but I am very excited!!!

I've had awful luck getting a decent signal with this antenna https://www.menards.com/main/electrical/electronics/antennas/rca-43-element-hd-outdoor-passive-tv-antenna/ant3038z/p-1444424451059-c-1454940301502.htm?tid=8539177603849969335&ipos=3

I know it's facing the right direction, and the towers I am trying to pick up are only 28-33 miles away. I've tried using an amp as soon as it enters the house, I've tried moving the amp down the line to be right by the TV, I've tried different cabling, I can't figure out why my signal is so awful. My TV is about 100 feet down the line from the antenna so not sure if I need a pre amp or if my antenna is just crap or maybe overkill. Any advice?

Trying to determine if cutting cable will be cost effective. We currently have Comcast and have 3 tv's in the house and 1 in the garage. So we pay for internet and cable, and cable boxes for each tv. When we watch a movie it's either through on-demand, Netflix or Vudu. In order for us to switch we'd need to 1) be able to watch different shows on our different tvs at the same time, 2) get real-time tv like the news, 3) ESPN, and 4) HGTV and Bravo! So is there a way to get all this that's cheaper than paying for cable? I'm trying to avoid a monthly fee because it would be excessive thanks to the multiple tvs. (right?) Note: I DO have amazon prime.
Puleeeeze help me.

Here is the FCC's Consumer Info Page and their transition schedule. Please also note that tvfool.com has not been updating its data so you will need to verify and consult the other sources listed below such as the FCC Digital Television Reception Map, Rabbitears.info and the Antennas Direct map. Unfortunately, we don't know when or if tvfool.com will be updating its data. (September 2, 2019)
