Who do you like in this matchup?
Post your team’s matchup and let others predict who they think will win. If you’re in a Survivor, Eliminator or Weekly Pick ‘Em game, post those too! If you have a weekly challenge that your commissioner runs, let us know what it is and if you have a clever plan in mind on how to win it. Be sure to give whole roster and scoring details when applicable. We encourage everyone to give feedback to others on their matchups and ask that you try to briefly explain your pick or reasoning when you give advice.
Please do not post screenshots of your matchups.
Discussion is welcome about the real life football game matchups too; have a big divisional game this week or is your favorite team facing the #1 defense in the league? Post your thoughts on that matchup too but just remember the rules about being nice to others; being a fan doesn’t give you an excuse to behave rudely to rival fans or people who have a rooting interest against your matchup.
Please remember to keep comments on theme and, as always, Subreddit Rules 5, 8, 9, and 10 are in effect.

Golden Tate was suspended the first 4 games of the year and since then has put up 92.3 PPR points in the 6 games he played for an average of 15.4 points. Davante Adams has also missed 4 games. This was due to injury. In the 6 games he played, he has put up 92.7 PPR points for an average of 15.45 points. Thought this was a fun stat
Seeing lots of discussion of running back waivers in Detroit, Indy, Atlanta, etc. as well as talks about which handcuffs to own. Lots of good discussion, but there’s one rule of thumb that almost always holds true (there is an exception to every rule, of course).
The most important factor is how good a run game that team has regardless of talent.
Last year, the backups that became league winners were the ones on good running teams. The Rams turned a waiver wire running back into a league winner and the Chiefs did the same with Damien Williams. Before that, Gurley and Hunt were extremely successful.
We all get caught up in opportunity and matchups. But the Falcons and Lions have been awful running the ball all year. That isn’t going to change because of a back up. Don’t expect it to.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis has been solid running the ball (positive touchdown regression is coming). Maybe it’s messy, and maybe Mack comes back quickly, but if one of those guys can take hold of the backfield (my money is on Williams but you can take a shot at both), you may actually have a legit RB.
As for handcuffs, you want the good run games. That means Mattison, Gus Edwards, Murray, Pollard, Breida/Mostert, Penny, Hunt, Armstead, and Bonnafon (moreso before they signed Davis).
My wife and I have this on-going game where we would ask each other a question, with the intended answer being something that sounds like sneezing when you say it, and then saying "Bless you" once the other person answers. For example:
-What is the gravy they serve with a french dip called?
It's pretty silly, but also fun trying to catch each other off-guard. She doesn't watch the NFL, so sometimes i'll be able to get her on the "Sneeze game" by asking her to say the name of some of the players. And then I was thinking - can I make a fantasy team out of players with names that (kind of) sound like sneezing?
Well as it turns out, basically what happened is you end up looking for players with names ending in an "oo" sound, which is actually pretty difficult to do. Nonetheless, I want to present you guys with my findings. So without further achoo, here is the lineup:
QB: Gardner Minshew
RB: Al Blue
RB: Kyle Juszczyk
WR: Mohammed Sanu
The graphs show the expert rank vs the matchup (points allowed by opponent). The expert rank is based on the top 10 most accurate experts by position. For example, the qb graph uses the top 10 most accurate qb experts. The colors make it easier to see groups of players with similar ranks and matchups.
