BENCHMARK 500M ROW
Strength focus - no inclines

Notes:

  • idkthe3g

  • you switch only for the benchmark as described below

Rowers / Floor

Block 1 - benchmark

  • warm up on floor for 3 minutes

  • move to rower, continue warm up for 3 minutes

  • 500m benchmark row

  • move to treads while tread team does benchmark row: intervals are 160metre / 0.1 miles on, 30 seconds WR off until time called (tread team do this interval in their warmup, while row team does their benchmark)

I highly recommend *not* closing your eyes while running at push pace! Made that mistake this morning and opened my eyes to discover I'd drifted to the left and couldn't recover. Made a big ole splat onto the floor and terrified the woman on the treadmill next to me.

Got my heart rate up really fast, though!

Not sure what kind of brave person possessed me but I called and signed up for my first orange theory class. I have to be there at 9:30 and I’m very close to canceling. I’m about 80 lbs overweight and haven’t been in a gym in about 2 years. I just had surgery in August, but my surgeon said ok to exercise. I am scared that I won’t be able to do it and that it will be embarrassing. Am I jumping into the deep end of the pool? Should I be starting smaller, from am exercise perspective?
