And it only took us 8 and a half years!
Congratulations, everyone! We're 3 million strong!
This community was created back in early 2011, with the intent to make it a home for PC enthusiasts, a place where all of us could come in and share experiences, a place that didn't quite exist yet, where you could have technical conversations one second and just share funny memes the next.
More than that, PCMR became a family. A place where you can feel welcome in your love for PC. A place where your age, nationality, race, gender, ability, sexuality, religion, political affiliation and economic status don't matter and where all PC lovers are welcome.
As years passed, we changed and adapted to the reality of gaming and PC enthusiasm. We're now living in a golden age of PC gaming, and being a PC gamer is easier than it ever was.
One of our main objectives is to make sure that everyone who is interested in PC Gaming can have in PCMR the home they need. That's why we want to foster a community that can help anyone interested in joining the glory of PC. Be it through our Daily Questions Thread, our build guide, or the simple fact that creating threads asking for help or suggestions on anything PC related is not only allowed, but welcome here.
A personal note of thank you from me to the other moderators, past and present, vital in helping the community thrive (we have open applications for new mods, btw)
Congratulations to all the users! We're in this together, fighting for the love of PC gaming and PC enthusiasm and for good practices for PC users in the gaming and tech industry!
We're celebrating in a number of ways! As always, our favorite is giveaways.

Got a simple question? Get a simple answer!
This thread is for all of the small and simple questions that you might have about computing that probably wouldn't work all too well as a standalone post. Software issues, build questions, game recommendations, post them here!
For the sake of helping others, please don't downvote questions! To help facilitate this, comments are sorted randomly for this post, so anyone's question can be seen and answered. That said, if you want to use a different sort, here's where you can find the sort options:
