Back in February there was a thread about the loss of FM radio signals in the Squirrel Hill Tunnel:
At that time I submitted a report to PennDOT Customer Care, and today I received this by email.
I wanted to let you know that we have corrected the FM radio signal issue at Squirrel Hill Tunnel. When we investigated the issue, we found that the system built by CMU had reached its end of life and had to be fully replaced. This took some time to get a new system built and installed. We are still getting a weak AM signal in the outbound tube so we will be replacing the broadcasting cable inside that tube this winter. I will keep your concern open until we complete AM work. In the meantime if you notice any problems, please let me know.

Since this started on Reddit I thought yinz might appreciate the update.
I play the drums and have been tossing around the idea of getting a group together for some jam sessions and forming a potential long-term relationship / forming of a band. I don’t know anyone who plays other instruments, though. Does anyone have any tips on meeting other musicians who are interested in joining a band aside from posting on Craigslist? Thanks in advance!
Nobody likes them. They're ugly. They're predatory. But many don't seem to know that they are actually illegal as well.
The City of Pittsburgh takes down the yellow plastic "WE BUY HOUSES" signs whenever they are brought to our attention, but we know for every one we take down there are probably dozens more we just don't know about. And on the very rare occasion we've been actually able to track down the people involved in putting them up, they are able to pay a small fine without even going to court. That's a heck of a deal on advertising costs, from their perspective.
So we're going to try something new and a little weird and different, and we need your help. We want to empower the residents of Pittsburgh to know that they have the ability to do something about this blight. But first things first, we need to know where they are! So please, if you know of an illegal "bandit sign" in your neighborhood, use this thread to let us know where exactly they are.
And thank you for helping make Pittsburgh a cleaner place!
