All you need to know about Bolivia is that this cunt wanted Evo Morales out.
So? A court said Brock Turner could not spend the rest of his life in jail after being convicted of rape. A court said that separate but equal was legitimate. That it is legal to lock Japanese Americans in prisons simply for their ethnicity.
So you're saying we should do what's right regardless of what's legal? I agree. Which is why Bolivians should be able to reelect a leader that has consistently had their best interests.
Cause they don't have term lims u moron
Shut the fuck up cunt
Isn't it fascinating to learn that the presidential system isn't the only one in existence, dear American kids? Would it blow your mind to learn that the German presidency also has term limits? (As we do in Finland after we had one guy as a president for 26 years.)
A chancellor is comparable to a prime minister, and they can continue to govern as long as they keep winning elections and their own party elects them as their leader.
In short, you're not convincing anyone about anything with this meme.

>the Supreme Court invalidated this section
Not exactly, their version of the Supreme Court specifically for elections invalidated this section - but the idea that a Supreme Court of any type could invalidate the Constitution that also set up its powers is absolutely, hilariously undemocratic, unless the court was given the power to invalidate sections of the constitution at will within the constitution itself. I'm not an expert, but I seriously doubt the court was given this power by the constitution, and I would question the ability of the government to remain representational in any way with that power given to a court.
Constitutional interpretation should not and does not carry the power of constitutional revision. That power belongs to the people - normally by some kind of referendum.
It does in Bolivia, baboso.
Yeah because people never protest unless the CIA tells them to.
Also it's not like the protesters didn't have a point. The issue of Evo running for office again has been a problem for a long time now.
Term limits are more important than a population living with dignity, apparently...
God damn dude
It kinda seems like anarchists are using the "it's a CIA coup" as a scapegoat becauase it's a left wing government. I expect that kind of thinking from tankies so it dissapoints me that people are jumping to defend Evo's government simply because they're left wing ergo they could do no harm.
There isn't even a hint o nuance in anarchist subs, withought even trying to find more info on the issue there's only been a kneejerk reaction to defend the government.
Personally I'm defending Evo because he lifted a quarter of the population out of extreme poverty, eradicated illiteracy, gave dignity and rights to indigenous people, gave elders an income to live a dignified existence, gave healthcare to millions, etc.
While the opposition is doing this:
Luis Fernando Camacho, an opposition leader, reportedly placed a Bible on the Bolivian flag in the presidential residence after Morales resigned, saying, “Pachamama will never return to the Palace. Bolivia is Christ's.”
Various commentators noted that there was a renewed sense of pride among the country's indigenous population following Morales' election.
Conversely, the opposition accused Morales' administration of aggravating racial tensions between indigenous, white, and mestizo populations, with some non-indigenous Bolivians feeling that they were now experiencing racism.
Some tankie was talking about how anarchism is a bourgeois ideology divorced from any real liberation. And while I entirely disagree, seeing people like you post this shit makes me at least understand why they have that perception.
I think 99% of this sub is against the right wing coup.
This is a false narrative being played up by tankies.
Apparently two mods here are sympathetic to the CIA
Fucking idiot. I have an affinity for anarchists, but God damn some of them are beyond stupid.
She is succeeding thank god.
Nothing she said is contrary to the opinion of the majority of democratic voters, save for the most radical who don't actually vote. This won't hurt her.
